It’s been ages since I last posted pictures on my site. This is partly because I lost pretty much all of 2007 when my laptop was stolen and I haven’t been motivated to take pictures since then. This is the first year where I don’t have hundreds of photos marking each passing month. Whoops…maybe I should stop pouting over what I can’t fix.
This weekend my sister-in-law Brenda took some phenomenal pictures at a friend’s wedding reception. She is amazing so here we are…

and no, we haven’t adopted two boys overnight. These are our nephews. Pretty handsome gentlemen, eh?

I am a marketing executive with a lot on my plate. You would think my nights would be spent agonizing over deadlines and dreaming about messed up projects and the future of our company instead my dream last night went something like this…
My friend Courtney and I were in jail for not paying our library fines. We weren’t minding it too much since they had a library in prison and I could still use the gym. (Can we tell what I value or what?) Both our husbands were visiting us but the guard wouldn’t let Courtney’s husband sit by her. She claimed there was some law that forbade it. So my husband, being who he is, whipped out his iphone and asked the guard what she would give him if he could prove her wrong by finding the statute on his phone. And that’s all…

First off, Isaiah is doing much better. Hooray! He went home on the 4th of July so he’ll probably be getting more rest now (although his poor Mom most likely will not
).
Secondly, our trip to Seattle to visit Grandma E was fabulous. She treated us to enormous amounts of yummy foods. Think–homemade coleslaw, fresh baked cookies, the best waffles I have ever tasted, ripe Rainier cherries, and giant doughnuts. It was unbelievable. With lots of my siblings in town with us we were transported back ten years where there was lots of good natured squabbling and the laughter that entails.
Now we’re back in Portland and moving. I know, I know. It never stops. Actually this move has been a bit more frustrating than all the hundreds (not joking) in the past. We’re simply switching sides of our duplex and moving our offices to the larger space but trying to move a bunch of belongings into a space that’s already inhabited by a bunch of belongings is very frustrating. At this point the office is 90% complete while the “house” side is an absolute disaster. And I’m now minus a water heater and working shower so if you find me wandering around in a bath towel don’t be too surprised, I’m simply looking for some warm water to wash in.
Life is such an adventure.
